ROSÉ OF PINOT NOIR, Quinta Del Mar Vineyard
$30 – 750ml
Neutral barrel / natural yeast
The Performance
From the Quinta del Mar Vineyard, “She’s Crafty” is a full-bodied Rosé. In the glass, the wine displays a vibrant, salmon-hued glow. On the nose, hints of dried strawberry and rose petal. At first taste, a playful minerality emerges, with a subtle grip of tannin and a lingering finish of blood orange rind.
Vineyard Voice
Quinta del Mar is a family-owned Pinot Noir vineyard consisting of Dijon clones 115 and 777 on 20 acres of South sloping ground at the base of the Nipomo Hills. Farmed by Francisco Ramirez, head of the Palmina/La Voix vineyard management team, the property is positioned only 7 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard enjoys a significant marine influence with fog in the mornings and sunny afternoons, with mean temperatures in the mid 70’s in the summer and mid 50’s at night. In the winter, weather conditions are mild with higher winds in the spring. All these elements, combined with owners Alex and Esperanza McCullough’s dedication to sustainable farming practices, result in superior wines with smooth tannins, a distinct earthiness and silky, luscious textures.
Artist Notes
Bold, and playful, The Beastie Boys came out swinging with their own unique style of rap in the early 1980s. The artwork for “She’s Crafty” is a graphic representation of street art during that time while calling upon the vocal style of the band: simple and loud, but not taking itself too seriously.
